British scientists from the University of Exeter have proven that the consumption of turnip juice increases endurance and enables training to be extended by 16%.
The Journal of Applied Physiology has written that the nitrates present in turnips lead to a reduction in oxygen consumption during physical activity and are thus associated with less fatigue during exercise.
Data collected from 8 people aged between 19 and 38 years have shown that the positive effect of half a liter of turnip juice is better than that which can be achieved with regular exercise.
Previous research has shown that turnip juice can also lead to a reduction in blood pressure.
